VCU Hi-End MUSES® Micro Volume Control Board

 

Hi-End MUSES®  Micro Electronic Volume Control board, VCU is a fully integrated complete ready to use two channel volume control unit that requires only a power supply to operate.

The unit is built using a unique NJR MUSES®72320 volume control chip.  The same chip was used by legendary Nelson Pass in his highly acclaimed XP-30 line preamplifier.  Unlike other electronic volume control chips, this chip does not  include any active circuitry, and therefore provides vanishingly low level of noise and distortions.  The performance of the entire volume control system is completely dominated by the quality of an opamp or a buffer (if no gain is required) that follows the MUSES® volume control chip.

A MUTE relay control signal is provided to eliminate any unwanted noises  from power-up/power-down processes. Refer to the Specifications section for complete product specifications.

An optional RCR ad-on board adds remote control capabilities. An LED display option is available.

This is a compact single board volume control unit that can replace any potentiometer based volume control for a greatly improved sound quality.
